Your beliefs shape your identity and you should choose how to change your beliefs wisely.

There are some people that think their values are like shoes. We don’t really have a lot of choice in this matter. They’re just going up to their closet, picking up what’s there, wearing it, and moving on the next day to the next pair of shoes.

If that’s your mentality, it’s no shame that you don’t live your life to the fullest extent. Whether it’s enjoying the best career, making the most money in your profession, enjoying the best partnerships, or looking fit and strong, beliefs play a big part in your life. Regardless of how confused you are about it, beliefs in your life will always remain important.

Where do people derive their energy from beliefs?

Beliefs are like eyeglasses to our future. The universe may look crystal clear, or it may look very blurry, based on the quality of your lenses, and you may even have a nasty headache when you use glasses that have the wrong quality.

Beliefs are working in the very same manner. As you experience the truth, as I talk about the things you can see, feel, touch, taste, and smell, something in your brain has to process them. This is considered the structure of your beliefs.

You give it to sense when you filter this information. You’re making it light. You’re showing it in a certain direction and slant. What’s going to happen next? The perception of the things you choose to view influences what you do, what you do, and what you think about yourself and the rest of the world.

This is important information, but the challenge is that many people think that they think this is true in a certain way. They confuse objective reality with their own subjective assumption of the things they perceive.

Others also justify their own twisted way of perceiving truth by claiming that it’s just who they are or that it’s part of their nature. No matter how hard you try, how much you love them, how much you give them, nothing will change.

How to change your beliefs

You can choose your convictions just as you can choose your shoes. I don’t say it’s easy. After all, after a while, convictions are normal. You’re not holding on to a belief system because it’s just pure and damaging to you. There’s something you’ve selected about the value system that gives you enough benefits to make it worth hanging on.

It’s like wearing shoes that are really ragged. You’re probably in your home with really old shoes. They look nasty and they may even smell like a rat died in them, but for whatever reason, because they’re stylish, you like to wear those shoes. You know they’re not looking the best; they’re not doing all that well, but you enjoy their comfort They’re doing well enough and they’re doing you well enough to keep them around and use them every day.

Don't Change Your Beliefs like shoes

It’s the same for your convictions. There are many systems of thought that have actually overcome their function and usefulness. It is important for us to dig at our convictions for a long, hard time and ask ourselves some tough questions. If not, we’re going to live far below our capability and the happiness we could have. We’d keep looking at reality with resources that don’t really serve us. This is a disaster.

Believe It Or Not…..

It’s very convenient for a lot of people to feel that reality has to somehow remain consistent with what they choose to view truth if they believe those things. I know it sounds crazy, but it’s real, too. You’d be surprised if you talk with people who use this type of logic in any kind of political debate.

If you are dissatisfied with your career in any way, shape, or form, the amount of money you earn, the size of the house you live in, the type of car you ride, the partnerships you have, the shape of your body, so on and so on, a lot of this can be traced back to your convictions.

Believe it or not, I’m speaking about your looks, your educational achievement, the way you speak, and everything else is a representation of your internal belief system. Thinking we’re born this way is very convenient, but we’re not. All of these are chosen. We were presented with a choice at some level or another and at some point in time. While we continue to make the same choice over and over again, the fact that we are still making decisions does not take away from that.

If for that matter, you find yourself struggling in a relationship, in your job, or in your health, this is one of the most powerful things you’ve ever been able to wrap your head around is the notion that values are selected. Just like you can choose one change of clothes over the other one, so you can choose your convictions. They’re not being enforced on you.

Law of attraction

Your family may have to put more pressure on you to feel the way they do, but you choose your values at the end of the day.

The idea that you carry on living your life on the premise that certain things are true and permit yourself to be constrained by this system of beliefs is proof that in the first instance you have accepted certain systems of beliefs.

Please know that your views are not about facts. Beliefs are just the perception of truth. Many definitions are out there. There are other means of mixing and matching the thousands of different negative signals you experience each day.

For a second, don’t assume that just because you have long believed such things that this length of time necessarily means that your convictions are written in stone anyway. They aren’t. You can easily change your opinion, learn, grow, accept truly forgive.

It is your choice. You choose. You change your life if you change your beliefs. Whatever you are upset and apprehensive about in your life, you can adjust by simply a choice of changing your system of beliefs.

This doesn’t mean it will be entirely straightforward. Clearly, the more you assumed those beliefs were real, the harder it would be to change certain structures of perception. Still, it can be done irrespective of the difficulty. The question is, “Do you want to do that?” If you want a simple-to-follow process that allows you to get out of the restrictive biases that hold you back and pull you out of your full potential.  Try This
